In preparation for the 2011 World Scout Jamboree in Sweden, a National Scout Jamboree was held on its location in July of 2007. This was called Jiingijamborii. The camp area lies near the coast on sandy ground surrounded by pine woods. The sandy earth helps rain water run off and keeps the camp area from being waterlogged. Small areas of forest divide the jamboree site. The World Scout Jamboree area is approximately 1.5 km x 1.5 km. The jamboree site is shown to the right and can be downloaded (1.3 Mb pdf) at:
